A previously unrecognized flame retardant found in Americans for the first time

This is the first study to find the carcinogenic flame retardant TCEP in the bodies of Americans. It’s also the first study to evaluate urinary levels of several phosphate flame retardant metabolites, like TCEP, which have been largely under the radar. Six metabolites were found in urine samples from California residents.
