Osiris is a 3-year-old Dutch shepherd mix and Riff Ratt is a 3-month-old fancy rat. They both live in Chicago and apparently really couldn’t be better friends.

Photos of the unlikely duo playing ball together, giving each other licks and exchanging belly rubs have been posted on Instagram over the past few months. Osiris is even cool enough to let Riff explore the inner workings of his snout. Don’t be alarmed — apparently, this is “super typical.”
This is super typical. Riff Ratt really likes licking the inside of Osiris’ mouth. I’m sure you all are wondering if we’re afraid Osiris will eat Riff – NOPE! Osiris has helped foster and care for dozens of animals and he is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met. See for yourself!
