Transgenic sweet corn no more susceptible to Goss’s wilt disease

A study tested whether glyphosate use, transgenic traits, or timing of inoculation with the bacterial vector of Goss’s wilt affected disease incidence and yield in sweet corn. Results showed no effect of glyphosate use, transgenic traits, or inoculation timing on Goss’s wilt incidence. Use of transgenic traits and glyphosate actually resulted in greater yields than conventional and herbicide-free plants. —> Read More
